Junk Journal - Junaru
This junk journal is a beautiful reflection of the Asian culture that we find here in Hawaii. Junaru translates to mean journal in Japanese. The journal consists of 3 signatures with wide ribbon tab separators each with a silver charm attached. These signatures have been hand-sewn to the spine with sturdy thread. A unique tassel with assorted beads, ribbons, and fun Asian items hangs from the top of the spine.
This beauty is stuffed and packed to the brim with lots of handmade delights that add so much charm and character. Corner pockets, fold-out pages, unique gift tags, greeting cards, postcards, bookmarks, fascinating vintage papers, and book pages on which you can record life's journey make this journal unique and special. There is also an envelope of left-over scraps and snippets from the making that will keep the bearer of this interesting and eclectic handmade book busy.
Get immersed in the colorful images that reflect the Asian lifestyle as they will delight and inspire for years to come. The cover measures approx 6" x 9.5" with a 2" spine x 3.5" (the page side of the journal is wider because it's stuffed full). There are 312 pages in this one-of-a-kind treasure.
