Nou Ka Hale... the House is Yours! Congratulations! Pineapples represent home, welcome, happiness, and relaxed hospitality that the islands are well known for. I discovered this pineapple in a patch at The Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve and Garden on the Hamakua Coast. The wood in the background is found at the bar at one of the fabulous resorts on the Kona side. It shows a "pewa" or a traditional bow-tie-shaped patch. This one is rather large and colorful.
