Time Stands Still

$3.99Price

Three significant tsunamis have hit the Big Island. One in 1946, one in 1960, and a lesser one in 1975. The 1960 tsunami caused damage to the beloved city clock which was eventually refurbished with its hands permanently in place at 1:04 the time disaster struck. It now stands on Kamehameha Avenue in front of The Naniloa Golf Course and serves as a memorial to those who lost their lives. The border shows a swath of coconut bark and behind it is a colorful array of ti plant leaves. The opposite side shows Hilo Bay and a sailing boat filled with happy, gleeful sailors cruising along the coastline. Time Stands Still #OAA-PC 00006 A Hawaii-themed POSTCARD from our Out and About series.
